	1798/7 13 Stars Reverse	EF45	PCGS 12534347	JR-2	Choice	$42000	New August 22! Extremely Rare Variety; Only 5 CAC'd; Original Silver Grey Patina. Silver-gray surfaces with hints of rose patina as the coin turns under a light. A bit softly struck in the centers, there are a few abrasions that are consistent with the grade and heavy die clashing in the obverse fields characteristic of all known examples. One scratch mark parallels Liberty's bust to 5 o'clock on the obverse rim. This is one of the rarest redbook varieties of Draped Bust dimes with approximately 30 examples known, The CAC population in all grades is 5, with this one being the lowest. There is one in 58, two in 62 and one in 63. The 63 CAC sold in 2015 for $199,750. The two 62 CACs would likely cost in excess of $100k assuming one became available. The 58 CAC is locked up in my (Matt's) collection. This coin was sold by Stacks in August 2013 for $30,555. This is a rare chance to obtain a CAC'd collector grade example of this rare date.
	1805 5 Berries	G4	PCGS 64237992	JR-1	Choice	$995	New September 10! Original Surfaces, Popular Redbook Type. Early type is in strong demand and is impossible to find on the bourse floor. While this example is not perfect, its original surfaces more than make up for few defects. Apart from an old toned over scratch on the obverse, the surfaces are choice for a G4. The reverse is a VG+. We prefer this example to the many coins of the type that are cleaned in straight graded holders.

The JR-1 is the sole Small Date die marriage for the year and is difficult to find in mint state. This coin is grey with bluish toning at the rims and has excellent luster and only minor marks. The PCGS pop is 6 in 64 with only 3 higher. Pedigreed to D. L. Hansen.
	1821 Large Date	MS63	PCGS 31505429	JR-5	Choice	$3150	New August 20! Large Date Type. Ex. Evergreen. An R-3 rated variety of the Large Date type. Charcoal grey toning with iridenscent highlights. A small mark on Miss Liberty's jaw line is the only mark of note. Some striking softness on the eagle's talons.
	1821 Small Date	MS62	PCGS 50984623	JR-9	Gem	$5250	New August 21! Gem at Grade, Steely-Frosted Luster, Vibrant Cartwheels. Ex. Evergreen and Osprey Collections. The steely frosted fields on this GFRC-Gem rated 1821 JR-9 dime are captivating. A stunning open collar Capped Bust dime that would be ideal for type or placement in an advanced date set. Under angled lighting, the luster is sharp and brilliant with swirling cartwheels adding to the viewing pleasure. A complete strike, with meticulously defined hair curls and elevated start center points, further enhances the presentation. Surfaces are essentially unabraded with two well hidden hairlines on the lower obverse that warrant mention and most likely correlate to the certified grade. However, the eye appeal is that of a higher grade.
	1823/2 Large Es	MS64	PCGS 39279756	JR-3	Choice	$9500	New August 21! Near Gem. Great Luster with Substantial Eye Appeal. Ex. Evergreen Collection. It is hard to believe that this coin is over 200 years old. The luster is flashy. The vibrant blue, magenta, and copper toning provide substantial eye appeal. Nicely struck, the surfaces are quite smooth. A center dot is seen on the obverse. A few vertical lines are seen on the left obverse field below star 5. The PCGS Pop shows 10 at this grade with 5 graded higher.
	1823/2 Small Es	MS62	PCGS 49548287	JR-1	Choice	$2750	New August 20! Nice Luster, Good Strike. Ex. Evergreen. Both sides are light silver with excellent luster. The obverse has a blush of golden toning at stars 4 through 8. An above average strike on both sides. A few lines keep this from a higher grade.
	1824/2	MS64	PCGS 37566321	JR-1	Choice	$5250	New August 19! Attractive Original Toning, Well Struck. Ex. Evergreen. Attractive original toning with mauve with splashes of rust and sea green on the obverse with the reverse having grey blue iridenscence. The surfaces are smooth with nice satiny luster. The strike is better than average and the overdate is easy to see with the naked eye. PCGS pop of 9 with 5 higher. Pedigreed to D. L. Hansen.

	1830 Medium 10C	MS63	PCGS 35297391	JR-3	Choice	$2250	New August 23! Cool Obverse Die Crack, Attractive Grey Toning. Ex. Evergreen. Original grey with golden and rust ridescence at the peripheries. Clean but for two small lines on the obverse. This is another variety which is easy to identify with large die cracks from star 7 thru Liberty's cap. This is an early die state as the cracks thru the reverse letters U(NITE)D are very light.
	1830 Small 10C	MS63	PCGS 45657036	JR-2	Choice	$3850	New September 28! Lustrous; Cool Die Cracks. Ex. Evergreen Collection. Both sides are well struck and exhibit frosty luster with the reverse having a bit more toning. Marks are consistent with the grade none of which is individually mentionalble. Interesting die cracks on the reverse, with a crack from the rim through the first S in States to the scroll and another heavier one through the leaves.
	1831	MS64	PCGS 35587394	JR-5	Gem	$4950	New August 22! Gem Original wuth Attractive Toning. Ex. Evergreen. Orange-gold toning covers lustrous grey surfaces. Perfectly original and very clean for the grade.
	1832	MS64	PCGS 38996021	JR-2	Choice	$3250	New August 19! Colorful Eye Appealing Toning. Ex. Evergreen. A myriad of colors blanket the obverse, including burnt orange, purple, blue and greens. The reverse is grey in the center with some blues and orange around the peripheries. A few marks and lines can be found on both sides but nothing that stands out. The luster and strike are both good.
	1833	MS66	NGC 6701639002	JR-5	Gem	$9950	New September 29! Fully Struck with Rainbow Rim Toning. The NGC Population is 3 with just three finer. This MS66 Capped Bust Dime is fully struck with the hair curls beneath LIBERTY superbly defined. The very attractive rainbow rim toning surrounding off white centers provides wonderful eye appeal on both sides. The fields are clean except for one line seen on the right obverse field to the left of star 11.
	1833 Last 3 High	MS63	PCGS 47561371	JR-5	Choice	$2500	New September 8! Well Struck, Frosty luster. Ex. Evergreen Collection. This choice Bust dime has frosty luster and original grey blue toning. Some light marks are consistent with the grade. It is well struck and attractive and would make an excellent type coin.
	1834 Small 4	MS64	PCGS 27237440	JR-7	Choice	$3500	New August 23! Frosty Luster. Ex. Evergreen. Handsome original grey with nice strong frosty luster covering both sides. Marks are at a minimum. Very well struck but for slight weakness on the eagle's talons. Interesting small die cracks are found on both sides. Cuds on the rim below the date. JR-7 is the only small date die marriage for 1834.
	1836	MS62+	PCGS 45581349	JR-1	Gem	$2500	New September 28! Gem Original. A beautiful Capped Bust dime with beautiful iridescent grey surfaces with lots of frosty luster. Marks are at a minimum and Miss Liberty's portrait is especially mark free. A die crack from the cap to star 8. Has the appeal of a higher grade.
	1836	MS64	PCGS 37566325	JR-2	Choice	$3600	New August 19! Bisecting Obverse Die Crack, Colorful. Ex. Evergreen. Blue grey toning covers both sides of this well struck dime. A later die state with the bisecting obverse die crack. Pedigreed to D. L. Hansen.
	1837 Capped Bust	MS64	PCGS 81212923	JR-3	Choice	$3500	New August 20! Original and Attractive Toning. Ex. Evergreen. Easily identifiable as JR-3 with a bisecting obverse die crack going through the digit 7 known on all examples. Attractive original blue grey patina on both sides. Well struck with few marks. Pedigreed to D. L. Hansen.
