Choice $7750 New March 19! Original Grey Surfaces. BB-105, B-23a. Rarity-3. Pointed 9, Wide Date. The obverse is medium grey with copper color around the peripheries. The reverse is toned in a rich blend of steel-gray and sandy-gold patina. The few marks are minor and the rims are very clean. This coin has not been cleaned or played with like many certified Bust dollars in the marketplace. In his Encyclopedia of United States Silver Dollars 1794-1804 (a must have for any collector), Bowers describes the obverse of this die variety as [u]sually lightly struck at the centers. While the obverse has the weak strike as noted by Bowers, the coin has only light wear from circulation and the balance of the features have good definition.

Gem $7250 New February 25! Nice Originality with an Obverse Cameo Look. An 18h century artifact with nice originality and relatively smooth fields. The wear on the obverse is even and provides contrast between the worn areas and the rest of the coin provide a cameo look. Interesting die breaks throughout the reverse. This coin is a stand out even compared to other CAC'd bust dollar.
