Gem $2600 New March 19! Gorgeous Toning and Surfaces. This one has super original surfaces with beautiful green gold toning with orange iridescent accents. Apart from one minor mark on the cheek, this coin has very few marks for the grade and a near absence of lines. It is also well struck apart from slight weakness often found on the 8 in the date. The 1855-o is perhaps the most popular Type II gold dollar since it is the final New Orleans Mint gold dollar. If youve been looking for a special 1855-o gold dollar, hurry on this one before its gone.

New March 26! Toned Gold; Scarcer date;. Subtle pink toning highlights on the deep golden obverse confirm the originality of this scarcer date. Only 6335 were minted but many were saved. Only 6 CAC'd speciments in 58 while there are 7 in 67 and higher! Putting together a date or full mintmark set of circulated CAC gold dollars is a challenging but doable pursuit with most dates available for $1500 or less. In a PCGS Gen 4.4 (2005-2011) holder.

New March 26! Scarce type; Original surfaces. Despite the moderate grade, this example of this challenging type offers nice originality and color. With only light abrasions and good overall detail, this coin would make an excellent type coin. This single-variety date has the highest mintage of the early quarter eagle series at only 6,812 coins. In a PCGS Gen. 4.0 (1998-2002) holder.

Original $2200 Low Mintage Post Civil War Issue, Partially Mirrored, Reflective Luster, Honey-Gold. 2025 Black Friday Sale Offering - Under a bright light, the partially mirrored fields emit considerable reflectivity on this low mintage 1868 Philadelphia issue. Both sides offer a consistent brilliance that is eye catching. Mint State example are rare with the PCGS population indicating only 14 certified in all uncirculated grades consistent with a mintage of 3,600 during the immediate post Civil War years. Coloration is honey-gold. A 10x review notes light field chatter and a few light obverse hairlines that are undeniably consistent with the certified grade. Fairly priced and housed in an NGC 17 (2004-2008) holder.

Choice $1450 New February 26! Near Gem with Prooflike Surfaces. Almost Gem for grade. Deeply prooflike surfaces amplify the minor marks. Choice $1025 Near-Gem Original, Rich Satiny Luster, Swirling Cartwheels, CAC Approval, Evergreen State Collection. The 1905 quarter eagle certainly brings on the eye appeal given its rich satiny luster that glows under the desk LED lamp. Cartwheels are consistent with full gem grade along with attractive honey green-gold coloration. Strike is 100% complete. This piece has the "look" of a gem but a single faint line in the right obverse field precludes that certification. MS64+ rewards the visual appearance. Housed in PCGS Gen 6.0 (2015-2020) holder with CAC approval.

Original $4145 Rare Philadelphia Date, Brilliant Steely-Frosted Luster, Near-Choice Original, White Pine Collection. 2025 Black Friday Sale Offering - The 1860 Philadelphia gold half eagle date sports a mintage of only 19,763 and is considered to be rare in all grades. This White Pine release presents a satiny obverse glow under a bright light Tilting the coin slightly shifts the luster into the lightly mirrored realm, a playful transition. Reverse cartwheels are particularly notable and sharply reflective. Coloration is a rose green-gold, an infrequently seen pigmentation. Strike is complete with hints of rub on the highest points and in the fields. The overall originality is readily apparent though a well hidden line is seen adjacent to stars 12 and 13. Housed in PCGS Gen 5.0 (2015) holder.

Choice $5525 Rare Grade, Choice Original, White Pine Collection.. 2025 Black Friday Sale Offering - Pinkish-orange patina fills the rims and protected areas of this low-mintage San Francisco piece, contrasting with the steely gold fields. Survival of 19th century branch Mint coinage is often a matter of chance, and CAC reports only a single Mint State piece, MS62, which the CAC guide prices at a whopping $72,000. This piece remains well-advanced within the CAC condition census, bested by only four pieces in AU58 and the single MS coin. CAC has approved 19 coins total, and the CAC price guide value in AU55 is $6,000. While finest known status confers the all-important bragging rights, we would rather own, for the same money, a dozen coins like this AU55 example, as opposed to a single piece graded only a few points finer. Housed in a PCGS Gen 6.0 (2015-2020) holder with CAC approval.

Choice $9750 New March 26! Low CAC Pop. Pop Top. Beautiful color.. A glance at the CAC pop report shows that Liberty half eagles from the Phildelphia mint are significantly underrated compared to their mint marked counterparts. This gorgeous 1871 is one of six AU58 stickered at CAC with none higher. The total CAC pop is only 11. Compare this to the 1871-CC half eagle that has a total CAC pop of 42, but which is priced at more than 7 times as much. This example not only has beatiful color but is minimally marked and has nice luster. A near gem which should be seen to be appreciate.

Choice $14725 Very Rare San Francisco Issue, Choice Original, White Pine Collection.. 2025 Black Friday Sale Offering - A mere 4,000 pieces flowed from the San Francisco Mint in this year, and this is a colorful example with abundant reddish-pink shading evident on both sides. High points exhibit lighter gold color, while the recessed areas reveal varied copper patina. Luster is steely and reflective. The PCGS census notes 47 coins total, with three pieces (including this coin) in AU53 and eight examples finer. The PCGS price guide value is $20,000. While not inexpensive, the combination of rarity and eye appeal is compelling, and this piece should draw considerable interest among advanced gold specialists. Housed Ina PCGS Gen 4.0 (1998-2002) holder.

Choice $3100 Rare Uncirculated, Superb Rose-Gold Coloring, Completed Strike, Near-Gem. GFRC Cost Basis! - 1891 Philadelphia $5 gold strikes were limited to 61,360 pieces in an era of massive silver coinage output. Most survivors are found with abrasions and/or light wear. At the MS64 level, this grade becomes rare and even more so with CAC approval. PCGS has not certified a single gem specimen, therefore MS64 and MS64+ graded examples are as good as it gets. GFRC is pleased to be offering one of the MS64 certified survivors that also has CAC approval. An infrequently seen rose-gold coloring is consistent on both sides. Bright light inspection is a joy given the brilliant frosted luster that explodes off the surfaces. Strike is 100% complete and rounds out the checklist for a designating this offering a near-gem. Housed in PCGS Gen 6.1 (2020-2021) holder. Previously sold by GFRC during June 2021 for $4350.
