Choice $3250 Superb Originality; Popular O-mint Type Coin. As the only O mint Type II gold dollar, the 1855-o gold dollar is very popular, especially when found with stone cold original, problem free surfaces. Choice $1650 New July 20! Underrated Date, Sparkling Frosted Luster, Honey-Gold Coloring, Fully Choice. Ex. Spring Branch. A superb example of the underrated 1887 $2.5 gold date reappears to the GFRC price list. Previously issued a JUST BUY IT NOW recommendation from Gerry "due to the overall eye appeal that should delight selective collectors. Let's start with luster which is reflective due to partially mirrored fields. Micro granular mint frost brings hint of a frosted texture to the fields. Cartwheels are active as to be expected for this accurately graded piece. Mintage is reported to be 6,160 with a reasonable survival rate within in the Mint State grades. Coloring is a consistent honey-gold. Housed in PCGS Gen 5.0 (2015) Dupont hologram holder."

Near-Gem Original, Rich Satiny Luster, Swirling Cartwheels, CAC Approval, Evergreen State Collection. The 1905 quarter eagle certainly brings on the eye appeal given its rich satiny luster that glows under the desk LED lamp. Cartwheels are consistent with full gem grade along with attractive honey green-gold coloration. Strike is 100% complete. This piece has the "look" of a gem but a single faint line in the right obverse field precludes that certification. MS64+ rewards the visual appearance. Choice $9750 Low CAC Pop. Pop Top. Beautiful color.. A glance at the CAC pop report shows that Liberty half eagles from the Phildelphia mint are significantly underrated compared to their mint marked counterparts. This gorgeous 1871 is one of six AU58 stickered at CAC with none higher. The total CAC pop is only 11. Compare this to the 1871-CC half eagle that has a total CAC pop of 42, but which is priced at more than 7 times as much. This example not only has beatiful color but is minimally marked and has nice luster. A near gem which should be seen to be appreciate.

Choice $3100 Rare Uncirculated, Superb Rose-Gold Coloring, Completed Strike, Near-Gem. GFRC Cost Basis! - 1891 Philadelphia $5 gold strikes were limited to 61,360 pieces in an era of massive silver coinage output. Most survivors are found with abrasions and/or light wear. At the MS64 level, this grade becomes rare and even more so with CAC approval. PCGS has not certified a single gem specimen, therefore MS64 and MS64+ graded examples are as good as it gets. GFRC is pleased to be offering one of the MS64 certified survivors that also has CAC approval. An infrequently seen rose-gold coloring is consistent on both sides. Bright light inspection is a joy given the brilliant frosted luster that explodes off the surfaces. Strike is 100% complete and rounds out the checklist for a designating this offering a near-gem.
