Gem $550 New March 20! With Drapery. Choice Original Surfaces.. This is a perfect circulated example of the scarce with drapery variety. During 1840, Liberty Seated dime coinage transitioned from the No Drapery design hub to a revised obverse design that added a more upright seated lady Liberty and bold stars along with drapery under Libertys arm. Only a small fraction of 1840 dimes used the with drapery design. The present coin has iridescent grey toning on both sides along with smooth surfaces and perfect rims.
