Liberty Seated Dime Purchase Criteria: eye appeal, original surfaces and full strikes including a full head.Seated dimes that meet these combined attributes provide the best value for the money including being the easiest for resale when upgrading a collection. It is recommended that buyers consider these criteria when contemplating a purchase from any dealer.

	1862-S	EF45	NGC 6606938016		Choice	$1995	New October 11! Clean Surfaces, Original. Pleasing, original medium grey surfaces with very few marks or lines. Weakly struck in places as is typical, including at A of AMERICA on the obverse and on the wreath on the reverse.
	1864-S	VF30	NGC 2106921039		Original	$750	New October 11! Original Grey; Better Date. An iridescent grey original looking example. Some deeper toning on the O of ONE and the D and M of DIME. Only minor marks apart from a scratch through the O of OF on the obverse.
	1865-S	VF25	PCGS 35604604		Cleaned	$500	New October 11! Tough Date, Cleaned. Grey with hairlines on each side from a cleaning, most notable near Miss Liberty's foot and on the lower right wreath. An inexpensive example of a tough date.
	1867-S	EF40	PCGS 34403794		Choice	$995	Original; Tough San Franciso Date. 1867-S dimes are scarce especially so with original surfaces like this one. The surfaces are free of hairlines, have only minor marks and are covered with gun metal gray patina with a bit of crust. Strike is above average with only some weakness at Miss Liberty's Head.
	1873-CC With Arrows	VG10	PCGS 64264103		Choice	$5500	New October 2! One of the Big 3 in Completing a Seated Dime Date/Mintmark Set. Mintage of 18,791 with perhaps 125 still existing in any condition. This is one of the big 3 (including the 1874-CC with Arrows and 1871-CC) dates that collectors working on a complete date/mintmark set need. Properly graded with at least 4 letters of LIBERTY still fully visible with the other 3 letters partially visible. This coins retains a good look and is nicer than most for a coin that is not endorsed by CAC. There is a mark in Miss Liberty's throat area, but other than that, the surfaces are above average. Here is an opportuinty to get one major step closer to completing a set.
	1875-S Mintmark Above	MS65+	PCGS 36646855		Choice	$2975	Blast White Gem. Ex. Hawk Farm Collection. Exceptional luster over very clean surfaces. Well struck too. Interesting die cracks throughout the bow on the reverse. Only 5 graded higher at PCGS.
	1876-CC Type 2 Rev	EF45	PCGS 83650078	F-101	Choice	HOLD $950	Type 2 Reverse, CACd Choice Original, Top 100 Variety. This is the third time this 1876-CC Type 2 reverse example is back on the GFRC price list. This time it comes with a CAC sticker. This coin is slate blue-grey with good eye appeal. This is a scarce and important Top 100 Variety. The PCGS Pop is 2 in 45 with 4 higher. The CAC stickered pop is 3, one in 15, this 45 and one higher in 50. There are two CACG coins in 20 and 25. If you are building a seated dime variety set or want to add a variety coin to your seated dime set, this is your coin.
	1881	MS66+	PCGS 34622620		Choice	$4250	New September 24! Condition Census. Just 24,000 Minted. Nicely Struck on Brilliant White Surfaces. The 1879-1881 dimes have unusually low mintages with the 1881 at 24,000. PCGS has graded three coins at the MS66+ level with just five finer. This is a nicely struck example that is mostly brilliant white. There are some tiny marks seen on both sides. In a D. L. Hanson pedigree label.
	1886-S	VF35	PCGS 29200359	F-102 R6	Choice	HOLD $485	R6 Die Pairing, Crusty Gen Metal Gray-Blue Toning, Accurately Graded. Ex Cleveland Collection. Previously sold by GFRC, Gerry's following description is spot on. An example of the rare 1886-S F-102 die pairing that offers pleasing gun metal gray-blue toning and choice surfaces. The F-102 date punch is shifted to the right when compared to the F-101 obverse. Use the position of the second 8 digit with respect to the pendant as a quick diagnostic point when attempting to cherrypick this variety. Unfortunately, few have surfaced since being first identified in the 1990s. Roughly fifteen to twenty F-101 specimens will be found for a lone F-102. Housed in PCGS Gen 5.0 (2015) Dupont hologram holder. We'll add that there are some light handling lines seen on the right obverse field.
	1888	MS65+	PCGS 33006233	F-112	Choice	$875	New September 8! Nicely Struck with Deep Colorful Toning. Ex. Evergreen Collection. This deeply toned coin is nicely struck with dark purple and orange obverse toning. The obverse fields are smooth with a small mark on Miss Liberty's cheek seen. The die crack across her head is readily visible. The toning on the reverse allows the luster to shine through the light bluish purple toning.
