With this much circulation wear, one normally expects to see a myriad of lines and marks but that is not the case with this coin. It has attractive originality on medium gray surfaces with even wear. The attractive blue color around the stars and Miss Liberty enhances the eye appeal. There is one small mark on both the obverse and reverse and that is it. in a PCGS Gen. 4.4 (2005-2011) blue holder.

Unquestionably original with reverse "dirt" inside the legend lettering, denomination, mintmark. The obverse strike is hammered with crisp definition of the hair braids and elevated stars along with a 95% struck up LIBERTY on the scroll. Under a bright light, this lot presents a soft frosted glow. Any abrasions are minute and require a thorough 10x review to locate. If searching for a Mint State Carson City double dime for type, this lot is worthy of close inspection and consideration. Housed in PCGS Gen 6.1 (2020-2024) holder with CAC approval.

This is fully choice with frosted silver-gray luster and peripheral copper-gold. Obverse toning is more prevalent while the reverse is fully transparent to the underlying luster.
