Gem $2850 First Year Denver Design Issue, Pretty Golden-Rose Shades, Gem Original. GFRC Cost Basis! - The 1916 Philadelphia and Denver struck Walking Liberty halves have comparable rarity in the higher Mint State grades. I could not resist adding this notable gem Denver example to inventory. A well frosted example with radiant luster and the expected cartwheels given a moderate golden patina that turns to rose closer to the peripheries. If luster and superb eye appeal are your cup of tea, this new offering might warrant a closer look. Housed in PCGS Gen 6.1 (2020-2023) holder with CAC approval.

Choice $895 Nice Originality. Very smooth frosty grey surfaces. Much retained luster remains under the fully original slightly crusty surfaces. The usual weakness in the central obverse and reverse but little actual wear. Good detail and little wear on liberty's head and breast and the eagles wing feathers. An excellent candidate for a high grade circulated date set.

Choice $3850 New May 13! Golden Toning. This beautiful coin has strong satiny luster and semi-reflective surfaces covered by pretty golden toning. The wear is light for the grade. A few very light lines on the obverse but the eye appeal is well above average for this tough date. Housed in a PCGS Gen 4.3 holder (March to November 2005).

Choice $5950 New May 13! Near Gem. This near gem is one of the key dates to the series. It's color is a very attractive battleship grey with light pink and peach iridescence with a lot of underlying luster. The surfaces are very smooth with only a few small marks in the obverse field keeping it from a gem grade. The reverse is pristine. Both sides are very well struck with excellent detail, even at the centers, notwithstanding the XF grade. You can even see Libery's thumb on her left hand.

Choice $625 Key Date, Natural Coin Gray, Choice Surfaces. GFRC Cost Basis! - The 1921-D and 1921-S are the unquestioned key dates within the Walking Liberty half dollar series. The 1921-D sports the lowest mintage of the series and is even rare in the lower circulated grades. GFRC located this perfectly original example at the Summer Baltimore show for inventory. One can never have enough 1921-D example in inventory, right? Surfaces are toned a natural coin gray. Housed in new large font NGC holder with CAC approval.

Gem $765 Brilliant Frosted Luster, Gem Original.. GFRC Cost Basis! - The 1937-D and 1937-S Walking Liberty dates are equally scarce in Mint State with mintages of 1,676,000 and 2,090,000. Truly original and undipped examples are scarce in full gem based on CAC approval rates. CAC has approved 103 Denver strikes at the MS65 grade. This example screams originality with its brilliant frosted luster and faint copper-gold toning. Bright light exposure releases frosted luster and vibrant cartwheels. Strike is nearly complete with just a touch of definition weakness at the thumb. Surfaces are pristine with some die polished lines seen during 10x review. A classic gem that warranted close scrutiny. Housed in PCGS Gen 6.0 (2015-2020) holder with CAC approval. PCGS #6602
